Newcastle United have signed Garang Kuol

Then there is Garang Kuol.

Newcastle confirmed in September that they had agreed a deal to sign Central Coast Mariners winger Kuol.

The deal means Kuol will arrive at Newcastle in January but will likely go out on loan for the second half of the season.

The 18-year-old shot to prominence this year and has bagged four goals and one assist in 11 games for the Mariners.

Australia have now capped Kuol and there is a strong chance that the teenager ends up playing at the World Cup later this month.

A speedy, skilful and exciting wide man who can create moments of magic, Kuol looks to have enormous potential.

Kuol certainly got off to a perfect start with Newcastle fans by getting in amongst them away at Fulham.

Soon though it will all be about performance on the pitch and Newcastle fans have been given an insight into his move.

Kuol was the focus of this week’s episode of A-Leagues All Access as they followed him through Newcastle’s interest and his game afterwards.

One moment saw Kuol head into the changing room at Mariners training having arrived back in from the UK after signing for Newcastle.

Teammates were seen chanting ‘Toon Army, Toon Army’, supporting the teenager and his big move.

Kuol will soon hear Newcastle fans chanting the same and the Australian wonderkid has a real chance to become a star on Tyneside.
