Newcastle United’s takeover only went through a week ago, but they continue to be linked with new names – including Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana.
The last week has been absolutely chaotic – and that comes from a non-Newcastle fan.
Newcastle’s takeover has sparked wild rumours. It’s only just about a week since the takeover was done, and about 300 players have been linked with the Magpies.
The new owners may have plans of their own, but transfers likely won’t progress until a manager or director of football arrives.
Still, some rumours are very interesting. One that few saw coming was RMC Sport claiming interest in Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana.
They stated that Newcastle’s owners had made a first move by initiating contact with Fofana’s representatives.
Fofana is currently out injured but should be back early in 2022. Newcastle’s owners seemingly see Fofana as a star of the future and want to lure him to Tyneside.

Newcastle fans have been reacting to the rumour, with some excited by the prospect of Fofana joining.
Some called Fofana their ‘dream signing’, believing that signing him would be ‘ridiculous’.
Others are urging PIF to get the deal done, feeling that Fofana would be ‘excellent’ – especially alongside James Tarkowski.
