Newcastle United are set to take on Manchester United in their next match.
Newcastle United fans have urged Rafael Benitez to give Martin Dubravka his debut in their next match, which comes against Manchester United at the weekend.
Dubravka has joined Newcastle on loan until the end of the season, with Benitez wanting more competition for places in goal.
The Slovakian stopper was kept on the substitutes’ bench for Newcastle’s last match against Crystal Palace, with Karl Darlow selected ahead of him.
However, Darlow had a few shaky moments, as Newcastle picked up a 1-1 draw with Palace at Selhurst Park.
And Newcastle fans feel that Dubravka may be a more solid option.
Dubravka has never before playing in English football, so it could be a steep learning curve for him, if he is thrown in against United.
Newcastle’s draw with Palace means that they have now gone five games without a victory, which has caused concerns to rise about their form.
Newcastle are currently just one point above the drop zone, and really needs to find the winning formula if they are to survive in the Premier League.
