Grealish has been in wonderful form for Villa this season, and he showcased his talent in the play off semi-final last night.
Villa edged past Middlesbrough, with Grealish playing a starring role over the two legs, and Newcastle supporters are now keen to see him arrive at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle’s hopes of signing Grealish may rest on Villa failing to win the play off final against Fulham in two weekends’ time.
Grealish would also be a costly addition, so Mike Ashley would need to back Benitez with funds to have any chance of getting a deal done.
Grealish is already a popular figure on Tyneside, as he helped Newcastle win the Championship title back in 2017, by scoring a last minute goal against Brighton.
If the Villa playmaker was to arrive at Newcastle, he would be in competition with Ayoze Perez for a starting place in Benitez’s line-up.
