Newcastle United fans want Islam Slimani to start Monday’s trip to Everton.

Newcastle United fans on Twitter have called on Rafael Benitez to start Islam Slimani in next week’s visit to Everton.
The Algerian attacker reminded Newcastle fans of his talent with an excellent cameo in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Arsenal at St James’s Park.
Slimani replaced Dwight Gayle on 63 minutes and played a big role in Matt Ritchie’s winner five minutes later.
It was only the 29-year-old’s second appearance for the Magpies after spending much of his half-season loan out injured.

Next up for Benitez’s side is a trip to Goodison Park on Monday, and Newcastle fans are hopeful that their January recruit has done enough to earn a first start.
Slimani’s form for the remainder of the season could determine whether Newcastle sign him on a permanent basis or not.
Ideally, the Leicester City-owned ace, a £29 million signing in 2016, needs a very productive last five games to convince the Spanish manager to spend big on him this summer.
