Newcastle United are urging Rafael Benitez to two of the World Cup’s breakout stars so far.

Newcastle United fans are urging Rafael Benitez to make a double swoop for two of Russia’s World Cup stars.
Russia have been one of the surprises of the tournament so far, with the hosts winning their first two games comfortably.
Russia won 3-1 against Egypt last night, with Denis Cheryshev and Artem Dzyuba both getting on the scoresheet, and Newcastle fans want the pair at St. James’ Park next term.
Cheryshev currently plays for Villarreal and if he was to arrive at Newcastle, he would strengthen Benitez’s options down the left-flank.
The 27-year-old is a tireless winger who possesses great pace, and Gary Neville has previously suggested that he would be perfectly suited for Premier League football.

Dzyuba, meanwhile, could be the striker that Newcastle have been looking for.
The Magpies have struggled to find a goalscorer, and Benitez likes to play with a target-man.
Dzyuba certainly has the physical attributes to cope in England, but whether Newcastle have been impressed enough with his performances throughout the competition so far to make a bid remains to be seen.
