Newcastle United fans are keen for Alan Pardew to be given a chance to manage Sunderland.

Newcastle United fans have jokingly suggested that Sunderland should go for Alan Pardew, after sacking Simon Grayson last night.
Some Newcastle fans have taken joy in watching Sunderland’s demise this season, with their near neighbours really struggling in the Championship.
The Black Cats are currently in 23rd place in the second tier standings, and look to be locked in a relegation fight.

Sunderland were unable to beat Bolton last night, and that proved to be the final straw for Grayson.
Newcastle now feel that Pardew could be the perfect man for the Black Cats, although it’s safe to say their comments were firmly tongue in cheek.
Pardew managed Newcastle for four years between 2010 and 2014, and was heavily criticised towards the end of his time at St. James’ Park.
He is actually listed as one of the contenders to land the Sunderland job with the bookies, but he is currently an outsider to be given the role at the Stadium of Light.
