Newcastle United fans have responded to West Bromwich Albion-owned striker Salomon Rondon’s post on social networking site Twitter during the match against Manchester United this past weekend.

Rondon, who joined Newcastle on loan from Championship side West Brom in the summer transfer window, was following the Premier League game between United and Newcastle at Old Trafford this past Saturday evening.

The 29-year-old striker – who earns £60,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – is injured at the moment with a thigh problem.

When Newcastle were ahead against the Red Devils, Rondon posted the following message on Twitter and got some interesting responses from the Magpies’ fans.

The Magpies were 2-0 up against Jose Mourinho’s side after just 10 minutes, but United scored thrice in the final 20 minutes to pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 3-2 victory.

The defeat to United means that Newcastle are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with just two points from eight matches.
