Rondon, signed on loan from Championship side West Bromwich Albion in the summer transfer window, was in action for Newcastle in their Premier League match against Watford at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon.
The 29-year-old striker has taken to Twitter to revel in the win, with some Newcastle fans responding to the Venezuela international’s message.
Newcastle’s win against Watford means that they are now out of the Premier League bottom three.
The Magpies will now hope to put together a run of positive results and pull away from the relegation zone.
Rondon is going to play an important role for Rafael Benitez’s side and will have to score the goals.
The 29-year-old striker – who earns £60,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has made four starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle so far this season, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
West Brom signed Rondon from Zenit Saint Petersburg in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Birmingham Mail to be worth £12 million.
