Newcastle United fell flat on Friday night, losing 2-0 away at Southampton in a disappointing attacking display.
The Magpies continue to be fairly bland going forward, with fans growing a little frustrated with Steve Bruce’s style of play.
What made matters even worse was that a former Newcastle scored a potential Puskas Award winner over in Germany last night.
Valentino Lazaro was in action for Borussia Monchengladbach, coming on a substitute in their 4-3 defeat away at Bayer Leverkusen.
He produced an unbelievable moment of quality, latching onto an injury-time cross with a nonchalant scorpion kick.
The Austrian’s goal was ultimately in vain as Gladbach fell to defeat, but Newcastle fans were left frustrated after seeing him come up with such an amazing goal.

Lazaro, 24, spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle, but made just four league starts in a frustrating stint before heading back to Inter Milan.
Now, Newcastle fans are suggesting that he should never have been let go, suggesting that he is a ‘quality player’ and could have been ‘unreal’ if given the chance.
Some believe it even sums up Steve Bruce, suggesting that he wasted Lazaro by not giving him a real opportunity, and is now having to watch him produce quality at Gladbach.
