Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Stevan Jovetic.

Newcastle United are reportedly showing a keen interest in signing Inter Milan forward Stevan Jovetic, this summer.

According to reports from Tuttomercatoweb, Rafael Benitez could send a delegation to Italy in the near future (read as in the next few days) to secure the signing of the former Manchester City player.

The report claims that Inter Milan want £12.8 million for the Montenegro international, who will only consider leaving the club if he finds that he has no future at the San Siro.

Benitez has always been an admirer of the 27-year-old, and reportedly wanted to sign the forward when he was at Liverpool.

It doesn’t come as surprise that he is trying his luck again for the former Fiorentina player.

Jovetic spent the 2016/17 season on loan at Sevilla where he scored seven goals in 22 appearances in all competitions.

A quick, strong and versatile player, Jovetic would be a superb signing for the Magpies. Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to express their views on the rumour, and they’re pretty excited.

However, many Newcastle fans are not convinced whether the club would show enough ambition to sign the Montenegro star.
