Newcastle United are trying to tie down Sean Longstaff to a longer-term contract.

Newcastle United fans are pleased that Steve Bruce is set to hand Sean Longstaff and Matty Longstaff a new contract.
The Times claim that Newcastle want to tie the Longstaff brothers down to long-term deals.
Sean was linked with Manchester United over the summer, but Newcastle want to secure his future at St. James’ Park now.
And Magpies fans are delighted that there seems to plans in action to sort the midfielder’s futures out.
Matty was actually one of Newcastle’s stars of pre-season, where he showed that he could cope in the first-team.
The younger Longstaff brother missed out on playing in Newcastle’s opening game, but is expected to get game time as the season progresses.
Sean, on the other hand, is already an established member of Newcastle’s starting line-up and should have a key role to play under Bruce’s guidance.
