West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing the Newcastle United winger.

Newcastle United fans have reacted on Twitter about West Ham United signing Christian Atsu this month.
The Chronicle reported this week that the Newcastle winger is a target for their Premier League rivals, with West Ham also interested in signing Jonjo Shelvey.
The 26-year-old, who joined on a permanent basis last summer, has scored two goals and set up two in 19 Premier League appearances this season.

It’s shaping up to be a terrible transfer window for Magpies boss Rafael Benitez, regardless what happens with Atsu.
There are probably more players being linked with leaving Newcastle than there are arrivals, and some fans of the Tyneside club would be willing to negotiate with West Ham – if the price was right.

Signing Atsu seems unlikely for West Ham who, after all, already have a very impressive Arthur Masuaku on the left-hand side of attack.
He’s been among the success stories in East London since David Moyes has taken over, and bringing in Atsu suggests Moyes isn’t completely happy with him, which can’t be true.
