Silva has played 24 games for Benfica in the Portuguese league this season, scoring on 15 occasions.
If he was to join Newcastle he would offer them a new attacking outlet, and would surely strengthen Rafael Benitez’s options in attack.
Newcastle spent big on Miguel Almiron in January, but it is thought that Benitez still wants to make improvements to his side’s attack next season, if he does stick around on Tyneside.
