Rondon has been on loan at Newcastle United from Wolverhampton Wanderers’ local rivals, West Bromwich Albion.

Newcastle United fans are reacting to reports linking their on-loan West Bromwich Albion striker, Salomon Rondon, with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Rondon has impressed in his season-long spell at St James’ Park, scoring or making 18 goals in 32 games.
But according to the Daily Mail, Newcastle have yet to make an offer to buy the Venezuela international, which has opened the door to Wolves.
It is claimed Wolves have “sounded out” their rivals, West Brom, over their valuation of Rondon – who has a £16.5 million buy-out clause – and, along with clubs from Italy and Spain, have made “initial proposals”.
And some of a Newcastle persuasion are worried they could now miss out on the 29-year-old, with the Molineux side described by the Daily Mail as an “attractive proposition”.
Newcastle loaned Dwight Gayle to West Brom in place of Rondon, but the Baggies will not consider a part-exchange deal and only want straight cash, according to the Daily Mail.
