Newcastle United picked up a 2-2 draw as they twice came from behind to deny West Ham United at St James’ Park.
The Hammers made a blistering start as Jarrod Bowen’s cross was turned home by Michail Antonio, only for Miguel Almiron to equalise from Emil Krafth’s delivery.
West Ham thought they had nicked all three points when Tomas Soucek fired home from clsoe range in the second half, but Jonjo Shelvey responded with an instant leveller.
Neither side could find a winner, but Newcastle can at least feel good about coming from behind twice to earn a point at home.
The Magpies have been in great form since football returned, and fans seemed particularly impressed with Nabil Bentaleb’s display.
The Algerian came on as a substitute for Isaac Hayden just before half time, and turned in a performance that was lauded on social media.

On loan from Schalke and hoping to win a permanent move, Bentaleb showed quick feet in the middle of the park, leaving some fans to admit they are starting to like him.
Others felt Bentaleb was ‘sharp’ and ‘class’, believing that he was ‘bossing it’ in the second half as Newcastle claimed a point.
