Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Mohamed Diame against Stoke City.
Diame featured for Newcastle in the Premier League game against Stoke away from home at the bet365 Stadium on Monday afternoon.
The 30-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Magpies won 1-0.
Ayoze Perez’s goal in the 73rd minute proved to be the difference between Stoke and Newcastle.
Diame’s performances so far this season have been mixed, with some Newcastle fans calling for the club to sell him, as reported on HITC Sport (click here to read more).
The former West Ham United midfielder has been on the books of the Magpies since the summer of 2016 when they signed him from Hull City for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £4.5 million.
Newcastle fans were impressed with the performance of Diame against Stoke, and perhaps it is a sign that he is winning over them.
