Newcastle United lost in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Mohamed Diame against Everton.
Diame featured for Newcastle in the Premier League game against Everton at St. James’ Park on Wednesday evening.
The 30-year-old midfielder started the match and played for 67 minutes, as the Magpies lost 1-0.
Wayne Rooney’s goal in the 27th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle fans were not impressed with the display produced by Diame, who has been on the books of the Magpies since the summer of 2016 when they signed him from Hull City for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £4.5 million.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park on Wednesday evening, hosts Newcastle had 55% of the possession, took 16 shots of which four were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
Newcastle are 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with 15 points from 17 matches.
