Newcastle United fans have been left angry with Mike Ashley, after he paid Richard Scudamore’s bonus.

Every Premier League club agreed to hand Scudamore a £250,000 donation, as he steps down from his current role.

And Newcastle supporters have been left fuming with Ashley, after he handed over money to the departing Premier League chief.

Newcastle supporters’ frustration with Ashley largely stems from the perception that he hasn’t given Rafael Benitez enough money to spend.

Benitez has expressed his own frustrations about the lack of options Newcastle have in the transfer market due to his relatively low budget in comparison to the rest of the Premier League.

The Magpies have coped reasonably well in the face of adversity, with their form improving in recent times.

Ashley has been back in the stadium lately, as Newcastle have won back-to-back games to move up the Premier League table into 14th place.

Whether Benitez will be given more money to spend in the January transfer window remains to be seen.
