Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Miguel Almiron against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Almiron was in action for Newcastle in their Premier League game against Wolves at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it ended in a 1-1 draw.

Although Almiron made some good runs, he simply failed to make an impact in the final third.

According to WhoScored, Almiron took two shots which was not on target, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 80.7%, won two headers, took 49 touches, and made two tackles, one interception and two clearances.

Newcastle fans were not impressed with the display produced by Almiron and have criticised him on Twitter.

Improvement needed

Almiron is a very good attacking midfielder, but it is simply not happening for him at the moment.

Perhaps a goal and a couple of assists will boost the confidence of the Paraguay international, and the Newcastle fans could then see the best of him.
