Newcastle United fell to yet another defeat at home to Everton.

Some Newcastle United supporters are starting to turn on one of last season’s star performers, Matt Ritchie.
Ritchie, for whom Newcastle paid Premier League Bournemouth £12 million at the start of their Championship promotion campaign, scored 12 goals and created eight more en route to the top flight.
And while the Scot has been Newcastle’s main source of goals [six assists] in the league this season, his recent performances are cause for concern, it seems.

Here’s what Magpies fans are saying about his latest – a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of their former manager Sam Allardyce and Everton…
Wayne Rooney’s 27th-minute goal was enough to hand the visitors all three points at St James’ Park and consign Newcastle – who had Jonjo Shelvey send off in second-half stoppage time for two bookable offences – to their seventh defeat in eight Premier League matches.
Rafa Benitez’s side are now only a point above second-bottom West Ham United ahead of a difficult looking trip to Arsenal on Saturday.
