Newcastle United were said to be interested in snapping up the Bournemouth wide-man.

Newcastle United fans think that they have had a lucky escape, as Jordon Ibe wasn’t interested in a move to St. James’ Park.
Newcastle ended up bringing in Andy Carroll on deadline day, as well as Emil Krafth.
And most Magpies fans do not appear to be at all concerned that they missed out on Ibe.
Bournemouth paid £15 million (Guardian) to sign Ibe from Liverpool back in 2016, but he has never lived up to his potential on the south coast.
Ibe now looks unlikely to play much for Eddie Howe’s side over the upcoming campaign, especially after Harry Wilson joined.
If Ibe had signed for Newcastle it would have been tough for him to break into Steve Bruce’s line-up too.
Newcastle have brought in Allan Saint-Maximin this summer, which has strengthened their options out wide.
