Jesus Gamez is leaving Newcastle United.
Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Jesus Gamez’s announcement that he is leaving.
Earlier today, Gamez announced on his official Twitter page that he is leaving Newcastle after two years at St. James’ Park.
The 33-year-old right-back Gamez joined Newcastle from Spanish club Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2016 on a two-year contract.
The former Spain Under-23 international defender, who earns £35,000 per week salary according to The Daily Star, failed to establish himself in Rafael Benitez’s first team.
During the 2016-17 campaign, the defender could manage just 201 minutes of Championship football for the Magpies, while this past season, he made only one start and one substitute appearance for Rafael Benitez’s side in the Premier League.
Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to send message to Gamez following his announcement that he is leaving St. James’ Park this summer.
