Newcastle United won 3-1 against Hibernian yesterday, with Javier Manquillo getting an assist for Steve Bruce’s side.
Newcastle United fans are beginning to change their opinions on Javier Manquillo, after his excellent pre-season performance for them against Hibernian.
Steve Bruce appears to be favouring Manquillo to DeAndre Yedlin at the moment, with the Spaniard putting in some strong displays for Newcastle recently.
Manquillo has previously been heavily criticised by the St. James’ Park crowd.
However, there appears to be a changing of opinion at Newcastle, with Manquillo starting to earn some support.
The former Liverpool man was a constant threat as Newcastle beat Hibs 3-1 last night.
And Newcastle fans have begun to praise Manquillo for his more recent displays.
Manquillo may well be the man that Bruce picks to start on opening day when Newcastle take on Arsenal.
Newcastle’s next pre-season match comes against St. Etienne on Saturday.
