The Newcastle United winger set up his side’s only goal at Everton on Wednesday.

Newcastle United fans are reacting on Twitter to Jacob Murphy’s latest showing.
The former Norwich City winger was brought back from the cold by Rafa Benitez at Everton on Wednesday.
His start was only the 16th of his Newcastle career (in the Premier League), and first since September.
Nevertheless, the 23-year-old marked his return with an assist – only his second in Black and White – that allowed Salomon Rondon to fire the visitors emphatically into a 19th minute lead at Goodison Park.
But Murphy’s evening would become tougher from thereon in, as Everton rallied, equalising as many minutes later through Richarlison, before ultimately falling short of the winning goal their possession (74 per cent) and shots (19 to 8) arguably deserved.
And this is what those of a Magpies persuasion had to say about the Norwich academy product afterwards…
Not everyone was quite so scathing of Murphy, mind – although tweets like these were few and far between.
Newcastle are reported to have paid Norwich £12 million for Murphy, who was raised, along with his twin brother Josh, by a family of Magpies supporters.
