Newcastle United have struggled to get rid of Emmanuel Riviere.
Newcastle United have to put up with Emmanuel Riviere a little while longer, it seems.
The 27-year-old, who has scored one league goal for Newcastle since joining in 2014, looked set to finally end his career at St James’s Park when Metz, according to The Shields Gazzette hijacked Osmanlispor’s move for the French striker.

Riviere’s presence at the Magpies is said to be hindering Rafael Benitez’s plan to sign a new striker and speculation of the forward’s exit was met with relief by the club’s fans.
However, reports emanating from France indicate that the former Monaco marksman has in fact rejected a move to Metz in a twist which has Newcastle fans furious.
Newcastle can only hope that the Turkish side did not take the reported snub personally and come back in for him, but this one could run a while longer.
