Steve Bruce is said to have doubts over Newcastle United signing Allan Saint-Maximin.

Newcastle United have been left frustrated with reports that the club are pushing ahead with the signing of Allan Saint-Maximin, despite Steve Bruce’s concerns.
Lee Charnley is believed to be pushing ahead with the deal though, as he still wants the Nice winger.
And Newcastle fans are frustrated with the report, as they feel it shows that Bruce has a lack of control of transfers.
Bruce has vehemently denied that he will just be a ‘puppet’ at Newcastle after arriving as manager.
A lack of control was one of the reasons why Rafael Benitez refused to sign a contract at Newcastle, but Bruce has insisted that he will have a say in any transfer dealings.
If Saint-Maximin was signed it would at least bolster Newcastle’s attack though.
The Magpies have lost Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon this summer, which means that Bruce does need to strengthen his forward line, otherwise Newcastle could lack threat over the season ahead.
