Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is reportedly wanted by Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United.
Alfredo Morelos of Rangers
Glasgow Rangers star Alfredo Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and there is no surprise to see the youngster linked with a move to Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old has been brilliant for Rangers since he moved to the Ibrox club from HJK in the summer of 2017.
The Colombia international has been banging in the goals regularly for Rangers, and this season, the striker took his game to a new level.
According to BBC Sport, Morelos scored 18 goals and provided four assists in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers this season.
The striker was the top scorer in the Scottish top flight this campaign, and he is reportedly on the radar of Newcastle in the Premier League.
According to Don Balon, Newcastle are interested in signing Morelos from Rangers in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the 22-year-old Colombia international striker could cost over £20 million.
Newcastle fans, though, do not seem keen on the idea of manager Rafael Benitez signing the striker, pointing at his disciplinary record in Scottish football – he was sent off five times this season.
