Newcastle United should be in the market for another attacker this summer, and a familiar face could end up back on Tyneside.
Callum Wilson has impressed, but Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle look set to leave when their contracts end this summer, whilst Joelinton remains a disappointment.
Steve Bruce and co will surely have attackers in mind already, and Blackburn Rovers ace Adam Armstrong could be on the radar.
The Chronicle report that Newcastle have a huge 40% sell-on clause in the deal that saw Armstrong leave the Magpies for Rovers in 2018.
That therefore means that Newcastle could land Armstrong for much cheaper than any of their rivals, with Armstrong described as being ‘interested’ in re-joining his boyhood club.
Armstrong was born in Newcastle and joined the club at the age of nine, making just 21 first-team appearances before moving on to Blackburn.

The 24-year-old has smashed 17 league goals in 26 outings this season, and the notion of him coming back to Newcastle has some fans excited.
Some believe that he would offer much more than Joelinton or Carroll and should be brought back this summer.
Others called the move a ‘no brainer’, urging the club to bring him home especially as he would be cheaper to Newcastle than any other club.
