Newcastle United fans are excited about the rumours that Amanda Staveley is interested in buying the club.

Staveley was spotted watching from the stands at Newcastle’s last home match against Liverpool, and the Times have suggested that the investor wants to buy Mike Ashley out.

Ashley has been looking to sell Newcastle for some time, but his valuation of the club has put other potential buyers off.

Ashley is not the most popular figure with Newcastle fans, after what has been a turbulent time at the helm at St. James’ Park.

And there is a feeling around Newcastle that the side would be in better hands, if Staveley does manage to purchase the Magpies.

At the moment Staveley’s takeover bid is still some way off going through, with her interest at an early stage.

Staveley is also thought to be keen on buying two other Premier League clubs, but whether they have the same fan-base and infrastructure as Newcastle is not clear.
