Newcastle United fans are fearing that £30 million will not be enough for Rafael Benitez to spend in January.

The Daily Mail have suggested that Amanda Staveley is close to buying the North East side from Mike Ashley.

There is great excitement about Staveley’s potential takeover at St. James’ Park, but some fans are not best pleased about the early report of Benitez’s budget.

Newcastle have been in poor form of late, and there is a feeling on social media that Benitez will need more money than £30 million to spend.

Benitez said last night that he is yet to hear the exact figure he will have to spend in January, but investments are needed.

Newcastle have failed to win any of their last eight matches, and have started to slide down the Premier League table.

The Magpies are now in 16th place, and there are serious concerns that they could be relegated, unless they get their January spending correct.

Newcastle still have four matches to play before the January transfer window opens, and they can start making their planned additions.
