Newcastle United have been linked with Stoke City’s Jonathan Walters in recent times.

Newcastle United fans do not appear to be at all keen on the rumours linking them with Stoke City forward Jonathan Walters (Telegraph).
Newcastle are already planning their summer transfers, after securing promotion to the Premier League earlier this week.
The Magpies beat Preston North End to ensure that they will finish in the top two of the Championship table this season.

And Walters is said to be on Newcastle’s wishlist by the Daily Telegraph.
Walters could be available this summer, as he has fallen out of Mark Hughes’ starting plans at Stoke.
However, it seems that the Republic of Ireland international would not exactly be welcomed with open arms at St. James’ Park.
Walters has played 21 times for Stoke in the Premier League and scored four times.
At 33, he would bring a lot of experience to Newcastle’s ranks – but there has to be question marks over whether he would be a regular starter for Rafael Benitez’s men.
