Newcastle United fans react on Twitter to rumours Aleksandar Mitrovic has asked to leave

Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is reportedly keen to pursue a move to Fulham.

Newcastle United fans admit that they cannot blame Aleksandar Mitrovic for looking for a move away.

TeamTalk have suggested that Mitrovic has asked to leave Newcastle, as he looks to force through a move to Fulham.

The target-man striker spent last season on loan with the Cottagers, and helped them earn promotion to the Premier League.

Mitrovic has continued his excellent form and has scored at the World Cup this summer.

Newcastle are now said to be asking for £30 million for the forward, and Magpies fans have sympathy with his desire for a move.

Mitrovic has struggled to hold down a first-team place, with Rafael Benitez seemingly having doubts over him.

Although there is an argument to suggest that Mitrovic is actually the biggest goalscoring threat Newcastle currently have, the Serbian does not appear to fit into the system at St. James’ Park.

If Mitrovic does leave this summer, the funds from his sale are expected be re-invested into Newcastle’s first-team.
