Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons has suffered yet another injury blow, with the talented player set to miss the rest of the season with the Championship leaders.
The club confirmed that Aarons suffered a knee injury earlier this week in training. Further scans have revealed that Aarons has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

He is set to undergo surgery on the injury and will miss the rest of the campaign.
Aarons’ fledgling career has been hounded by persistent injury problems.
He was on the comeback trail from a broken foot picked up in the EFL Cup tie against Cheltenham Town in August. Last season he spent most of the season on the sidelines after struggling with calf and ankle problems. The season before, he spent most of the campaign out with a hamstring problem.

Newcastle fans are certainly disappointed to see their young player out of action yet again. His career continues to be stop-start and despite his obvious talent many a Newcastle fan is now of the belief that, perhaps, Aarons will never make it at St James’ Park.
