Mikel Merino has made his loan move from Borussia Dortmund to Newcastle United permanent.
Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Mikel Merino signing a permanent contract.
The Magpies signed Merino on loan from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
The Premier League club have activated the option to secure the services of the 21-year-old midfielder on a permanent deal.

Merino has also expressed his delight at committing his long-term future to the Magpies.

Merino is a very good and talented young midfielder, and the 21-year-old has been playing well for Newcastle this season.
The Spain Under-21 international midfielder has started six matches in the Premier League for the Magpies so far this campaign.
Newcastle are aiming to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
