Newcastle United fans do not exactly appear to be enthused by links with Stoke City’s Giannelli Imbula.
However, the powerful midfielder struggled during his time in English football with Stoke.
And the bulk of Newcastle’s fans appear to think Benitez should pass up the opportunity to bring Imbula in this summer.
If Imbula does arrive at Newcatle, he could be seen as Mikel Merino’s replacement at St. James’ Park.
Merino has been heavily linked with a move away from Tyneside, with the Spaniard now looking likely to depart.
Newcastle were expected to be extremely active in the summer transfer window, but they have been surprisingly quiet so far.
Rafael Benitez appears to still be shopping on a budget, with Newcastle only bringing in Martin Dubravka so far.
