The Shields Gazette has also claimed that Hamburg are willing to sell the 26-year-old, with The Mirror crediting Bournemouth with interest in the Germany international.

The former Schalke midfielder joined Hamburg from Tottenham on a permanent contract in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.6 million following a loan spell at the German club in 2014-15.
