Newcastle United have signed Islam Slimani on loan from Leicester City until the end of the season.
Newcastle United fans don’t feel that Islam Slimani is going to feature for them much, even he does make it back before the end of the season.
Slimani was brought to Newcastle back in January, but he has still not made his debut because of injury.
The Algerian striker has at least participated in some light training now.
But Newcastle fans don’t feel that Slimani’s transfer was worthwhile at all, as some of their other options have hit form.
Dwight Gayle has scored two goals and claimed two assists in his last four appearances, and Newcastle fans think that even when Slimani makes it off the treatment table, he could be left on the sidelines.
Newcastle had brought in Slimani to be the man to fire them away from danger, but he has not been needed so far.
Newcastle currently have built up a four point gap above the relegation zone, and sit in 13th place in the Premier League table.
