Newcastle United fans have been critical of Rafael Benitez’s decision to allow Kevin Mbabu to leave back in 2017.
Mbabu spent four years with Newcastle, but was deemed surplus to requirements last year.
The full-back left Newcastle to join Young Boys, and his game has since gone from strength to strength.
Mbabu has earned an international appearance with Switzerland and he turned in an excellent performance in the Champions League last night.
Although Young Boys were beaten by Manchester United, Mbabu still caught the eye.
And Newcastle fans think Benitez made a big mistake by letting the 23-year-old go.
If Mbabu was still at Newcastle he could have offered them competition for places at full-back, as he was capable of playing on either side of defence.
