Newcastle United fans have praised the performance of Javier Manquillo, on his first display in a black and white shirt.
Manquillo joined Newcastle this summer, and there were some doubts over the full-back’s arrival at St. James’ Park.
Manquillo struggled at Sunderland last term, as the Black Cats slipped to relegation.
However, Newcastle fans are optimistic that the Spaniard will be able to show his true ability at St. James’ Park.
Manquillo was in excellent form yesterday, as Newcastle picked up a 3-1 victory over Wolfsburg.
And Newcastle fans were left purring over their new signings display, with many raving about his performance on social media website Twitter.
It is not yet clear whether Manquillo will be a permanent starter at Newcastle over the upcoming campaign, as he is in competition with DeAndre Yedlin for a place in the first-team.
Newcastle’s season gets under way in two weekends’ time, when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park.
