Jamaal Lascelles has issued a fierce defence of Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez.
Newcastle have made a poor start to the campaign, with the Magpies losing to Brighton at the weekend.
Benitez’s side are now stuck at the bottom of the Premier League table, after failing to pick up a win all season.
Lascelles, though, insists that anybody questioning Benitez is wrong to be doing so.
While some Newcastle fans have backed Lascelles’ comments, others feel that he is well off the mark.
Despite Lascelles’ defence of Benitez, speculation has started to mount over the Spaniard’s future.
Newcastle have been linked with Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers in recent times, with Benitez said to be coming under more and more pressure.
