Rafael Benitez reportedly wants to bring Iker Casillas to Newcastle United.

Newcastle United fans do not appear keen on signing Iker Casillas from Porto in the January transfer window.
According to a report in the Portuguese press via Jornal de Noticias, Newcastle are interested in snapping up Casillas in the new year.

Rafael Benitez is known to be looking for a new goalkeeper, as he looks to bolster his options.
But Newcastle fans feel that Benitez should be improving other areas of his squad, before signing a new number one.
Newcastle moving for Casillas is likely to depend on whether a takeover happens before the January transfer window.
With Mike Ashley in charge, it seems unlikely that the Magpies would be willing to pay Casillas’ wages, even if Benitez does want the former Real Madrid man.
At the moment Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow are competing for a spot in Newcastle’s goal, with the latter seemingly Benitez’s preferred pick as things stand.
Newcastle are currently in 14th place in the Premier League table, and they are expected to invest in January, as Benitez looks to guide his side to safety.
