Sorensen kept up his remarkable scoring form for Newcastle’s development squad last night, as he netted against Grimsby Town.
The Magpies’ youngsters managed to pick up a 3-2 win in the Chekatrade Trophy, with Sorensen scoring his 15th goal of the season.
The striker has recently been called up to first-team training by Rafael Benitez, but he is yet to make his senior debut.
And Newcastle fans now either want to see him loaned out in January or utilised in the Premier League.
Newcastle have lacked a goalscorer all campaign, and the signs are that Sorensen could have the potential to fill that void eventually.
Whether the youngster is ready to make the grade in the Premier League remains to be seen, but Sorensen does appear to be one of the most exciting youngsters in the ranks at St. James’ Park.
