Newcastle United fans are excited over the potential to see Daniel James brought to St. James’ Park from Swansea City.

The Chronicle have reported how Newcastle are keen to take the winger, who has been one of the stars of the Championship this season.

James’ performances have attracted a lot of attention from a number of clubs in the top flight, with Newcastle the latest team to take a fancy to the Welsh international.

And Magpies fans would be eager to see James working in tandem with Miguel Almiron.

If Newcastle did have James and Almiron starting down either flank they would certainly have plenty of pace to call upon.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is known to be keen to add quality over the summer, if he does sign a new contract and stay.

James has hit four goals and claimed nine assists in 33 Championship matches for Swansea this season.
