Chelsea-owned Christian Atsu’s performance against Cardiff City on Friday impressed Newcastle United fans.

Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Christian Atsu against Cardiff City on Friday evening.
Atsu, who joined Newcastle on a season-long loan deal from Premier League giants Chelsea in the summer of 2016, featured in the Championship game at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The 25-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Magpies won 2-0. The Ghana international broke the deadlock in the game in the 55th minute when he found the net.
Newcastle fans were impressed with the performance of Atsu against Cardiff and want the midfielder to sign a permanent contract with the Magpies and remain at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle have already won promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season after ascertaining their place in the top two.
Rafael Benitez’s side have the best squad in the Championship, but they will need to make signings in the summer transfer window in order to be competitive in the Premier League.
Atsu could be a valuable signing for Newcastle for their 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
