Former Newcastle star netted for Bolton against Sunderland.

Under pressure Sunderland were haunted by former Newcastle United youngster Sammy Ameobi last night.
Ameobi netted the opener for struggling Bolton in a bottom of the table Championship clash, netting from 25 yards out.
Just the name Ameobi brings back unhappy memories for Sunderland fans, with Sammy’s brother Shola Ameobi previously scoring past the club while playing for North East rivals Newcastle.

Shola Ameobi netted three times against the Black Cats in his career, and his younger brother is now following suit.
Sunderland bounced back to claim a 3-3 draw in a topsy-turvy match, but it was not enough to save manager Simon Grayson’s job, with the sacking announced almost immediately after the final whistle.
Newcastle may have suffered defeat to Burnley 24 hours earlier in the Premier League, but the sight of Ameobi netting against Sunderland instantly cheered supporters up.
Here is a look at how they celebrated on Twitter to the 25-year-old’s goal…
