Newcastle United fans have expressed sympathy with Rolando Aarons on his Instagram page, after his latest post.

Aarons was left out of Newcastle’s Premier League squad, meaning that he cannot play a league match until January at the very earliest.

The winger has been overlooked by Rafael Benitez, and sent to train with the under-23’s.

Aarons, himself, seemed defiant in the wake of the news, and posted on social media with the caption ‘tunnel visioned’.

Tunnel Visioned

A post shared by Rolando Aarons (@rizz_16) on

The post has drawn a great deal of response from Newcastle fans, who have been quick to encourage the wide-man. Here are a selection of the comments.

adam.b.2005: “Should of got in the 25s.”

caz_ladd: “Gutted for ya mate proper want ya playing for us.”

kitsnowdon: “Gotta work to take chances when you get them. Looked the next big thing a couple years ago. Chances will come, attitude and application needs to be 100% to turn it around – be a Mahrez not a taraabt.”

martynlittle96: “You should be in the team.”

gordons_photography: “Still have faith in you.”

proctordobson: “Acc so gutted for you another good player that is not getting a chance.”

wayne.shonaI: “Would of rather selected Aarons over Lazaar in the full squad. At least you have pace, can get in behind the defence, create chances and score goals. We are OK at the back, we need more attacking options in depth. I like Rafa but some of his decissions are not very good. Mitro.and Gayle away for Rondon and Muto. God help us.”

Aarons was once touted as one of Newcastle’s brightest prospects, but he has failed to earn a consistent run of starts.

The youngster has suffered badly from injury, and his future at St. James’ Park now looks to be in doubt.

Aarons was linked with a move away from Newcastle throughout the summer, and it could be that he moves on in the new year.
