There is no place in Newcastle United’s 25-man Premier League squad for Aarons, who can only play in cup games until January.

Some Newcastle United supporters are unhappy with the Magpies’ decision to omit Rolando Aarons from their 25-man Premier League squad.

Aarons is one of five Newcastle players who failed to make the cut, alongside Jack Colback, Achraf Lazaar, Henri Saivet and Jamie Sterry.

The Jamaica-born winger starred under the Magpies manager, Steve Bruce, at Sheffield Wednesday in the second half of last season.

And he is said to have made a positive impression throughout the Toon’s pre-season campaign.

So much so that the following Newcastle fans felt that he should have been included – ahead of one player in particular.

Although the transfer deadline passed for clubs in England’s top two divisions on Thursday, Aarons and co. can still join sides whose windows remain open.

The 23-year-old was linked with a move to Panathinaikos earlier in the summer, having had previous spells on the continent with Hellas Verona and Slovan Liberec.
