Former Chelsea youth product Kyle Scott is set to reportedly sign for Newcastle United.

Newcastle United supporters on Twitter have provided mixed reactions to reports that they are close to signing Kyle Scott on a free transfer.
The Northern Echo have claimed that midfielder Scott was initially wanted by Rafa Benitez, but it seems as though the club are going to push through a deal for the player despite the departure of the Spaniard.
To the surprise of no-one on Tyneside, Newcastle are the only Premier League club who are yet to sign a player during this summer transfer window as the problems continue to mount in the North East.
Midfielder Scott was a product of Chelsea’s youth academy but was released by the club earlier on in the summer as he is close to finding a new home.
Some Newcastle fans are fine with Scott’s arrival because they do think he can bring potential to the table, whilst others feel he could be a replacement for a Sean Longstaff.

The Magpies could find themselves losing a number of key players in the middle of the park this summer, and if the likes of Longstaff and Isaac Hayden do depart then a player like Scott will have big shoes to fill.
Despite the positivity from some, others think he isn’t good enough for Newcastle’s first-team, and understandably so. Scott only made one senior appearance for Chelsea, and his relative lack of experience in England’s top-flight could be a problem.
Even the most experienced of players would struggle in the environment Newcastle currently find themselves in, as a player like Scott will have his work cut out if he makes the switch.
