Tottenham supporters will be delighted to see the back of him after the 27-year-old failed, in a big way, to justify the £30 million spent on him last summer.
Sissoko, who joined from Newcastle, did not manage a single goal in 33 appearances for the Lilywhites last season.
The France international isn’t well thought of in the North-East any longer after doing very little to prevent United’s relegation in 2016, before suddenly dazzling for les Bleus at the European Championship en route to securing a transfer away from St James’s Park.
What a difference a year makes as Gunebakis reported recently that he is interested in joining the Turkish side – who finished sixth in the Super Lig last season – as the same publication claim that he is now their priority.
Moving from Tottenham to Trabzonspor is, however, a major decline – and Newcastle fans are delighted for their former star.
